The Sindh government impose a lockdown in the Province from tomorrow till August 8 Due to Covid-19 cases.

All markets will remain closed during the lockdown, however, pharmacies are allowed to remain open and function.

This was decided in a meeting chaired by Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah of the coronavirus task force which was attended by provincial ministers, medical experts and representatives of the Pakistan Medical Association (PMA) on Friday.

Doctors attending today’s meeting warned participants that the Covid-19 situation in the province could turn “terrifying” and sounded alarm over the increasing pressure on hospitals as well as the rapid spread of the highly contagious Delta variant as cases continue to rise after Eidul Azha.
