Covid-19 Fourth wave starting in Pakistan.  Asad Umar said on Friday,  who is also the head of the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) to combat Covid-19, said field reports were showing a complete disregard for the standard operating procedures (SOPs) and warned that the government would be forced to shut down wedding halls, indoor restaurants and gyms if they ignored the rules.

A minister in Pakistan on Friday warned the country could be hit by the fourth COVID-19 wave next month, asking people to adhere to safety measures and get vaccinated.

“Reviewed the artificial intelligence based disease modeling analysis today … In the absence of strong SOP enforcement and continued strong Vaccine program, the 4th wave could emerge in Pakistan in July,” tweeted Asad Umar, who leads the country’s anti-virus task force.
